1. Setup screener

\n\u2705 Understand your exact test user profile
\n\u2705 Start with generic questions and then go to specific ones
\n\u2705 Reuse existing questions from your team if you can
\n\u2705 Only ask one information at a time \u2013 split questions if necessary
\n\u2705 Only write up to 8 questions If you look for different profiles, split the order if necessary<\/p>\n

2. Choose question format
\n<\/strong>\u2705 You can choose between single-select and multi-select
\n\u2705 Use open questions to double check critical information<\/p>\n

3. Question guidelines
\n<\/strong>\u2705 Avoid asking for agreement, especially don\u2018t use yes\/no questions \u2013 try to give two ends of a scale instead (e.g. instead of \u201cHow much do you like [\u2026]?\u201d, ask \u201cHow would you rate [\u2026]?\u201d)
\n\u2705 Make sure your question is short and easy to understand (short sentences, simple words, explain expert terms\u2026)
\n\u2705 On the other hand, your question needs to be specific and leave no room for interpretation (avoid specifying terms like \u201eactive user\u201c, \u201dregularly\u201d,…)
\n\u2705 Avoid \u201cloaded questions\u201d which point the user in one direction<\/p>\n

4. Answer guidelines
\n<\/strong>\u2705 Make your questions visually appealing (use consistently capital letter at the beginning and “.” )
\n\u2705 Make sure you use gender-inclusive language
\n\u2705 When you need to come up with alternative answers, make some research about what other options are relevant to make the question reusable
\n\u2705 When you give options with numbers (e.g. frequencies: 1-2\u00a0times per week \/ 3-5\u00a0times per week \/ \u2026), give a wide range and make sure there is no gap or overlap between steps
