Ypsomed
Terms of Use

Thank you for visiting the registration platform for the Ypsomed AG private pool and for your interest in participating in tests on the use of our products (“studies”).

Please read these terms of use (Terms) and the Privacy Policy carefully before registering. By registering, you agree to these Terms.

Note: Part of our services under these Terms is provided by our service provider, TestingTime AG, Weststrasse 50, 8003 Zurich, Switzerland. The use of this registration platform is subject to TestingTime’s terms of use.

Registration as Test User

If you have agreed with Ypsomed to participate in studies concerning the use of our products, we will transmit your contact details to our service provider TestingTime AG. TestingTime manages the registration of study participants and the invitations to participate in our studies on our behalf.

TestingTime invites you by email to register in Ypsomed’s private pool on the TestingTime platform.

After registration, you receive an e-mail to verify your e-mail address and subsequently will be entered in the Ypsomed AG private pool (“Database”).

Registration as a study participant is free of charge and voluntary. You have the right to have your data deleted from the Database at any time.

For more information on how we handle and protect your personal data, please consult our Privacy Policy.

Participation in studies

The studies are carried out by Ypsomed itself or by its contracted service providers. There are three types of studies:

  • In-House Studies: Test User will be invited to a Ypsomed location or other premises designated to carry out the study.
  • Online Questionnaires: Test User is asked to answer a questionnaire online.
  • Remote Testing: Test takes place via a video conference tool.

We select Test Users based on certain criteria that are relevant to the study in question. If the information you provide in the database and the additional data requested meets the criteria and you are considered for a particular study, TestingTime will contact you directly and invite you to participate in the study. The selection of Test Users is at our sole discretion and you have no right to participate in any particular study.

Once you have been contacted as a potential Test User for a particular study, you will be required to confirm your participation in the study within the time limit communicated to you.

Remuneration

You will receive a fixed fee for participating in a study, which we will communicate upon agreement to participate in the respective study. You receive the fixed fee within 5 to 10 working days after participation in the study. Due to the insignificant amount, Ypsomed does not report this remuneration as earned income to the Swiss employment insurances (AHV / IV / EO and ALV).

Responsibility and liability

Neither Ypsomed nor its employees, representatives or subcontractors shall be liable to Test Users in any way, in particular for any damage or loss in connection with their participation or inability to participate in a study or the content or linked information relating to the studies or third-party websites.

Termination

Ypsomed reserves the right to exclude Test Users from participation in further studies if they violate these Terms or interfere studies.

Both you and Ypsomed may terminate the contract at any time. No claims for damages may be asserted due to the termination of the contractual relationship.

Final provisions

If any provision of these Terms (in whole or part) is held to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable, it shall be replaced by a valid provision with a similar economic meaning. The other provisions shall remain unaffected thereby and effective.

Swiss law shall be exclusively applicable to this Terms to the exclusion of private international law. The exclusive place of venue for all disputes shall be Burgdorf.

We reserve the right to change these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any such changes in writing to the email address provided by you. If you do not cancel your account within one month of the notice being sent or you agree to participate in a study in the meantime, the change will be deemed to have been approved.
